How to play Feltlane
1. Choose neighboring cards
Cards must share an edge: up, down, left or right. Diagonals do not count, and the last column does not connect to the next row. Choose two cards with equal ranks, or two ranks whose sum is exactly 13.
2. Read the ranks
Ace is 1, Jack is 11, Queen is 12 and King is 13. For example, 6 + 7 clears; two Queens also clear. A King clears only with another King. Suits and colors do not change the rules.
3. Refill the grid
After a pair clears, the fixed reserve deck fills those two cells. The earlier cell in reading order receives the first card, regardless of tap order. When the reserve runs out, empty cells stay empty. Cards do not slide across gaps.
4. Clear the whole table
Clear the grid and the reserve to win. If cards remain and no valid neighboring pair exists, the challenge is blocked. Undo or restart to try another order. Eight original fixed decks have verified solutions.
Controls and progress
Tap two cards, or use arrow keys and Enter or Space. U undoes and H highlights a pair on a verified path to a clear table when a solution is found. Each challenge saves its own progress in this browser. Restart replaces only the current challenge.
